SPONSORED WALK UPDATE

It was a bright and sunny morning when we set off on our sponsored dog walk in Horton Country Park.  Max had some of his doggy friends to walk with, namely Honey, Poppy, Tequila and Rolf, all Garbo’s rescue dogs.  We had a brilliant time, all the dogs were off lead and we met joggers, cyclists, dogs and horses enroute and all of the dogs were impeccably behaved. 

People were surprised to see 5 GSD’s out walking together, we had many comments about how good they were and we were very proud of them all.

There were quite a few ponds enroute, not all of them very clean, but Tequila just had to jump in them all, she just loves water!  Honey followed Max everywhere he went, it was so good to see her running off lead with the other dogs.

Thank you to Janet & Alan Sexton, Marion Rhymer, Paul Garner, Kevin Gent and his Mother Sylvia, for coming along and for getting sponsorship for the walk.  We were all pretty tired after walking the 7 miles, which took most of the day as we kept stopping off so the dogs could play in the water and the fields.  We all had a great time and we are looking forward to meeting up again just for the fun of it.

In total we raised £1273 for the rescue dogs.
